A further 27.5 km section constructed in 2015 – 2019 then connects Veselí nad Lužnicí with České Budějovice, and includes a 192 m long bridge crossing over the Kyselá voda Stream as well as the Úsilné three-level interchange.
The 42.8 km section from České Budějovice to the Czech–Austrian border has been under construction in phases since 2019, with three sections to be finished in 2023 – 2024 and work to begin on the remaining two sections in 2023, scheduled for completion in 2025. The section Úsilné – Hodějovice involves a 1 km tunnel “Pohůrka”, which is being built as a cast-in-situ concrete box construction in an excavated pit.
